ZF MGCAWU DISTRICT - The collaborative effort by District Task Team, Upington Border police and Upington K9 Unit were applauded by the Acting District Commander, Brigadier Peet Coetzee after securing the arrest of six male suspects between the ages of 34 and 40 respectively for dealing in drugs.

This followed after the members received information about possible drug dealing at one of the premises in the Rosedale area on Tuesday, 10 January 2023.

The members raided the identified premises where mandrax tablets to the value of R 89 600 and tik to the value of R 30 780.00 were found in the house.

The police also confiscated cellphones for further investigations and an undisclosed amount of cash believed to be the proceeds of dealing in drugs.

The suspects are in custody and will be appearing in court soon.
