Suspects expected to appear in court for possession of suspected stolen property

NELSPRUIT - The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Mpumalanga Lieutenant General Semakaleng Manamela has applauded police at White River after they arrested two suspects aged 26 and 31 on charges of possession of suspected stolen property, today, 07 June 2022 at Spioenkop Road, White River. The suspects are expected to appear at the White River Magistrate's Court today.

According to the information the members were conducting a stop and search. They then stopped a vehicle, a VW Polo and upon searching inside found several items such as toy guns, 24 Prolibe tablets, 33 Apple iPads, 03 laptops, a projector, cellphones an amplifier as well as a grinder which the occupants failed to account for. Police then arrested the two while two others fled into the bush nearby.

Police request anyone with information that will lead to the arrest of the two remaining suspects to contact Sergeant Willie Pretorius on 083 286 0120 or call the Crime Stop number on 08600 10111. Alternatively, members of the public can send information via MYSAPSAPP. All received information will be treated as confidential and callers may opt to remain anonymous
