Media arrangements for the SADC MCO and Extra-ordinary Organ Troika Summit Plus the Kingdom of eSwatini

President Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa, in his capacity as the Chairperson of the SADC Organ on Politics, Defence and Security Cooperation, will convene the SADC Extra-ordinary Organ Troika Summit Plus the Kingdom of eSwatini on 21 July in Pretoria.

The Republic of South Africa assumed the rotational Chairship of the SADC Organ in August 2021. The other Troika member states are the Republic of Namibia (incoming Chair) and the Republic of Botswana.

Summit programme:

16-18 July 2022: Senior Officials Meeting (Not open to the media)

19 July 2022 : Ministerial Committee Meeting (Media to cover Opening Remarks)

21 July 2022: SADC Extra- Ordinary Organ Troika Summit (Media to cover Opening and Closing remarks)

Media accreditation:

There will be live accreditation taking place as from Monday,18th July 2022 between 08h00-16h30.

The venue for accreditation is Dennis Adami Hall, Wren & Soutpansberg Road, Queenswood, Pretoria

Members of the media are expected to present their press cards and ID/passports at the accreditation venue.

Only bona fide journalists, broadcasters, photographers, film and television camera crews and technicians will be accredited as media.

Media facilities:

Media houses bringing OB Vans need to indicate and submit their information no later than 18 July 2022 to any of the contact persons below.

Access to media facilities will be available only to accredited media.
