WESTERN CAPE –Sinako Magi (32), who has been connected to a spate of eight (8) bank robberies across Cape Town briefly appeared in the Bellville Magistrates Court today, 30 May 2022.
This comes after his arrest by the members of the Hawks’ National Priority Violent Crimes (NPVC) in Bellvile who identified the suspect and arrested him in the Khayelitsha area at on Friday, 27 May 2022.
It is reported that the accused would walk into a bank and demand cash. The accused has been charged with armed robbery. The robberies date back to November 2021.
Magi is alleged to have robbed Standard Bank and Absa Banks in Bellville, Gugulethu, Elsiesriver, Keinvlei and Kuilsriver areas from the period between November 2021 to March 2022. The accused remains in custody and the matter is remanded to the 06 June 2022 for legal representative.
