Africell and Drizilik Collaborate to Launch New Album ‘Audacity’

Freetown:Africell Sierra Leone has formed a partnership with local musician Drizilik to support the release of his new album, "Audacity." This collaboration aims to integrate music, technology, and cultural engagement, broadening the reach of Drizilik's work both locally and internationally.

According to Sierra Leone News Agency, the partnership was announced on September 28, 2026, as part of a larger campaign to connect Drizilik's music with audiences in Sierra Leone and overseas. The campaign features Africell's outdoor advertising and media network, including city-wide billboards and outdoor activations. These include codes directing the public to Drizilik's official website, offering early access to "Audacity" before its global release on September 30.

Africell Sierra Leone's CEO, Shadi Gerjawi, emphasized the company's commitment to supporting the arts as a vital aspect of the nation's identity. He described Drizilik as having a distinctive sound that resonates with Sierra Leone's cultural roots. Gerjawi expressed pride in supporting Drizilik's journey to share his work with a broader audience.

Drizilik, whose music draws heavily from Sierra Leonean culture and everyday experiences, stated that the collaboration aligns with his vision of using music to unite communities. He highlighted Africell's role in promoting youth engagement and the growth of the country's entertainment and cultural sectors.

Following the album's release, additional activities are planned for October, including a live session on AfriTV and a private partner showcase. These events aim to provide audiences and industry stakeholders the opportunity to engage with the album and its creative process.
