DURBAN – Two suspects have been arrested by the Chatsworth Police in Welbedacht East on 29 October 2022. This follows an armed robbery which occurred outside a night club in Croftdene. It’s alleged that the complainant was lured to an isolated area in Chatsworth.

The complainant was accosted by armed suspects who deprived him of his vehicle and belongings. The case was reported to police for investigation. Police recovered the vehicle that was taken in the robbery a few hours later. The task team thereafter conducted an investigation which resulted in the successful apprehension of the two men. Police continued with investigations and they recovered a cellular phone taken during the armed robbery.

On Monday, 31 October 2022, two suspects aged 18 and 38 appeared before the Chatsworth Magistrates Court where they are remanded in custody. The accused will re-appear at the Chatsworth Magistrates Court on 4 November 2022.
