Three people under police interrogation following the shooting of three anti-stock theft members in Qwaqwa

FREESTATE – The Tseki police are interrogating three people following the shooting of three people believed to be members of the anti-stock theft patrollers in Qwaqwa. Two fatally wounded and the other seriously injured.

It is alleged that on Wednesday, 04 May 2022 at about 23:30 members of anti-stock theft were following information with regard to certain foreign nationals believed to have been stealing livestock. The information led them to a certain house at Bolata Village. On their arrival it is alleged that shots were fired at them which left two people dead and one injured.

On 05 May 2022 at about 03:30 the matter was reported to the police and they attended the crime scene. They found six cattle in the same yard but there were no suspects.

Preliminary investigations were conducted and led to the tracing of three people who are now under police interrogation.

Cases of murders and attempted murder are still under investigation.
