Suspects arrested for car hijacking and business robbery

GAUTENG – Members of Ekurhuleni Crime intelligence Trio Task Team, Crime Intelligence Head Office, Ekurhuleni Municipal Police Department, Gauteng Traffic and 87 Feature Security received information on Tuesday, 03 May 2022 regarding suspects involved in car Hijackings and business robberies around Ekurhuleni.

An Intelligence Driven Operation was conducted and two suspects were arrested at Moedi Section, Tembisa on 04 May 2022. The suspects aged 36 and 38 years old were found I possession of two unlicensed firearms, two vehicles of which one was reported hijacked in Kempton Park in January 2022.

Ekurhuleni District Commissioner, Major General Anna Sithole commended the members for their swift response to ensure that unlicensed firearms are taken away from the streets of Ekurhuleni.
