Efforts to eradicate illegal possession of firearms in our communities yielded positive results when members of Delft police were busy with stop and search operations on Tuesday (2022-05-31) in Covid City, Delft. The members spotted a male who tried to evade them, and searched him. The 27-year-old man was arrested and detained when he was found in possession of a revolver without ammunition for which he could not provide a valid license.
Once charged, the suspect is expected to make a court appearance in the Bellville Magistrate court on a charge of possession of a prohibited firearm.
