Dakar:His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio has arrived in Dakar, Senegal, alongside First Lady Fatima Maada Bio, to engage in a summit focused on Sport and Development and to participate in the official opening ceremony of the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games.

According to Sierra Leone News Agency, President Bio was greeted at the airport by Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye.

The Youth Olympic Games are designed to bring together young athletes from across the globe, providing a platform for competition while promoting values such as friendship, cultural exchange, respect, and fair play. Dakar 2026 marks the first time an Olympic event will be held on African soil, underscoring the continent's growing significance in global sport and its potential to inspire and support a new generation of athletes.
