GAUTENG – On 04 May 2022, an intelligence driven operation conducted at Diepsloot to the arrest of four men for conspiracy to commit a robbery.
The members of Gauteng Crime Intelligence with the assistance of NIU members swiftly operationalised information received about a planned business robbery at a lodge in Diespsloot.
The members intercepted the suspects before the crime could be committed. Two firearms, hand gloves, balaclavas and two vehicles that had false number plates found in possession of the suspects were seized.
The suspects are expected to appear before a Magistrates’ Court soon on charges of conspiracy to commit a crime.
On another incident, Tactical Response Team (TRT) members recovered three stolen vehicles. The members were conducting daily crime prevention duties when they spotted a suspicious looking vehicle. Upon further investigation, it was established that the vehicle was reported stolen in Douglasdale.
More information was received which led to the recovery of two more vehicles, one in Alexander and the other one in Noordgedoop Plots.
The members are commended for their vigilance and dedication in fighting crime.
