GQEBERHA – The South African Police Service (SAPS) in the Eastern Cape is continuing with the welcoming of newly trained police officers this week in different districts. The Districts include OR Tambo, Alfred Nzo, Joe Gqabi, Chris Hani, Amathole, BCM, Nelson Mandela Bay and Sarah Baartman.
The Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Nomthetheleli Mene began the roadshow in Mthatha where she addressed and deployed the newly trained police officers in different stations of the two districts. On Friday, 22 December 2022, Lt Gen Mene will doing a similar address in the Nelson Mandela Metro, and also unpack the numbers that will be allocated to each district as part of bolstering capacity in the stations and units.
