Fang: Police and investigators from Fang district, along with soldiers from the Pha Muang unit, seized 3 million methamphetamine pills. Patrol officers and investigators from Pha Muang Military District conducted a successful operation against drug smuggling activities in the region.

According to Thai News Agency, intelligence gathered by both police and military personnel from the Pha Muang Task Force revealed that methamphetamine was being smuggled out of the Huai Mayom area, Wiang Subdistrict, Fang District, Chiang Mai Province. Colonel Amnat Wachirasaksophana, Commander of the Chaiyanuphap Task Force, and Police Colonel Pradit Tipma, Superintendent of Fang Police Station, coordinated a joint operation involving investigative police, Fang patrol police, Pha Muang Task Force soldiers, Border Patrol Police 334, and Fang district officials.

Around 11:00 PM, a silver Honda CRV with license plate NgP 8906 Chiang Mai was spotted driving down from the mountain via the Pha Hom Pok route and parking at the Huai Mayom village sports field. The operation team pursued the vehicle and attempted to intercept it. However, the driver managed to abandon the vehicle and escape under the cover of darkness.

Upon inspecting the vehicle, authorities discovered approximately 13 sacks of methamphetamine. The confiscated drugs were transported to Fang Police Station, where they were counted in the investigation room. The total amount of pills seized was approximately 3,000,000. The seized items were handed over to investigators at Fang Police Station for further legal proceedings.
