Four men arrested in Deben for dealing in dagga

NORTHERN CAPE – Police in Deben arrested four men between the ages of 26 and 36 for dealing in dagga on Thursday, 16 June 2022 at approximately 15:00.

After receiving a tip-off, members went to a house in the Soweto informal settlement as per the information received and searched it.

While searching the house, the members found 1kg of dagga with an estimated street value of R5000-00 as well as an undisclosed amount of cash believed to be the proceeds of the sale of the drugs.

 Four men were arrested for dealing in dagga and will soon appear in the Kathu   Magistrate’s Court on a charge of dealing in dagga.

Brigadier Johnny Besnaar, the Acting District Commander of JTG applauded the members of Deben SAPS for their continuous efforts in removing drugs from the streets and squeezing the space for drug dealers to operate.
