NGCOBO – Ongoing efforts by the South African Police Service to rid communities of unlicensed firearms yielded positive results.
On Sunday 23 October 2022 at about 17:00, Crime Prevention members received information about suspected unlicensed firearm at Msawawa location.
They searched the premises and recovered an unlicensed firearm and ammunition. A 27-year-old was arrested for possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition and is expected to appear before the Ngcobo Magistrate Court soon.
The District Commissioner, Major General Rudolph Adolph applauded the members for being dedicated when executing their duties.
