Jakarta:The Deputy President, Paul Mashatile, has officially resumed his duties this week after making a full recovery.

According to South African Government News Agency, the Office of the Deputy President expressed gratitude to all South Africans and various stakeholders for their messages of goodwill and support during his recovery period.

Deputy President Mashatile also conveyed his appreciation, stating that the thoughts, prayers, and calls from the public had a positive impact on his journey towards recovery, for which he is most grateful.

The Office of the Deputy President praised the media for their inquiries, communication, and monitoring of the Deputy President's recovery progress.

In the coming days, Deputy President Mashatile will engage in several activities, including chairing Cabinet Committees, attending the Mid-Term Budget Policy Statement, engaging with interfaith communities, responding to Oral Questions in the National Council of Provinces, and resuming his political programme.
