Katima mulilo: A 27-year-old Zambian man appeared in the Katima Mulilo District Court on Wednesday, facing charges of murder, robbery with aggravating circumstances, possession of stolen property, and illegal entry into Namibia. The suspect, identified as Likando Kangombe, is accused of the March killing of 42-year-old Sibuku Calvin Sinyepe near his residence in the Greenwell Matongo area. According to Namibia Press Agency, Kangombe, who was arrested on Monday, allegedly shot and killed Sinyepe and subsequently robbed him of his cellphone along with other valuables. The incident occurred near the victim's house in Katima Mulilo, a town located in the northeastern part of Namibia. During the court proceedings presided over by Magistrate Davy Kambinda, Kangombe was remanded in custody given the gravity of the offenses. The court scheduled the next hearing for 23 December 2024, allowing time for further police investigation and for Kangombe to secure legal representation.
