Terre Haute Regional Airport has chosen Woolpert to provide on-call consulting services through a five-year contract. Woolpert will deliver a range of architecture, engineering, and construction services, including the development of the airport capital improvement plan, project planning, and environmental services.
As Indiana third busiest airport, and home to the Air National Guard 181st Intelligence Wing, Terre Haute Regional supports general aviation, commercial flights, military operations involving uncrewed systems, and a highly regarded aviation program from Indiana State University.
Chris Snyder, Woolpert Vice President and Aviation Program Director, stated that the contract aligns with Terre Haute Regional Airport goals to enhance infrastructure and amenities while training future pilots and maintenance professionals, preparing for airside and landside expansion.
The contract outlines potential improvements such as hangar development, pavement rehabilitation and expansion, airfield lighting enhan
cements, safety and sustainability initiatives, FAA air traffic control tower upgrades, and the integration of advanced air mobility projects.
