The Aliwal North sub-cluster stations concluded the month activities by participating in Operation BASADI at the Hertzog Bridge roadblock. Capt Pretorius was the operational Commander and the ladies were supported by the acting Station Commanders Lt Col Marnewick and Visible Policing male colleagues.
Female members from Visible Policing from the sub-cluster stations as well as Woman’s Network joined in the activities.
240 Vehicles were stopped and Pamphlets on the prevention of GBV were distributed.
The roadblock were very busy as motorists travelled between the Free State and Eastern Cape at the start of the weekend. The motorists appreciated the SAPS activities.
