GAUTENG: The Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Investigation in Germiston together with the South African Police Service's K9 Unit as well as Johannesburg Metro K9 Unit swiftly responded to intelligence about a possible suspect that will be dropping of drugs at Wierde Park area on 01 July 2022.

Upon arrival at the positively identified premises on Montague Street, surveillance on the said premises immediately took place and within two hours into the reconnaissance, authorities noticed a suspect out of a Silver Toyota Etios with an unknown registration number.

The suspect entered the premises and closed the gate before the authorities could get to him. When the police requested to enter premises, he went inside pretending to inform the property owner and never came back.

Authorities jumped into the said premises and upon searching, they found drugs (Mandrax, Herion and Mathacalone) worth approximately R600 000 on street value. The assortment of drugs and the suspect’s vehicle were seized for further investigation.
