Weekend police operations yield great success

NORTHERN CAPE – Operations Vala Konke and Vhutu Hawe respectively nets successes by arresting criminals across the province for various crimes.

Barkly West SAPS over the weekend arrested 4 undocumented persons during operations conducted in the area.

Meanwhile, De Aar SAPS arrested several wanted suspects for various crimes while Hopetown police confiscated 25 litres of concoction and alcohol worth R3 740-00.

Furthermore police in Wrenchville, Kuruman raided shebeens and confiscated alcohol worth R15 000-00 and fined a suspect R3 000-00 for trading illegally in alcohol.

Victoria West tracing operations by visible policing and detectives yield great success while the N1 road near Hanover and Richmond conducted a roadblock and resulted in several undocumented persons arrested and detained.

Kimberley Public Order Policing members arrested a suspect in Soul City and Kagisho SAPS are investigating a case of dealing in drugs worth about R3000-00.

Upington Public Order policing also closed down a shebeen in Rosedale and confiscated alcohol worth R4300-00.

Carnavon and Petrusville were also out in full force and their disruptive actions resulted in suspects arrested for malicious damage to property, assault GBH and dagga.

The Acting Deputy Provincial Commissioner for Policing, Maj Gen Henriette De Waal thanked all the SAPS members for their assertive efforts and reiterated that police will have all boots on the ground during this festive season and beyond.
