London: Vice President Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh addressed a packed Westminster Hall Thursday evening, outlining major government reforms across energy, trade, and healthcare during the Civic Day Series London. Energy reforms featured MCC Compact plans, a $480 million grant secured under presidential directive, plus the construction of the Nant Power facility targeting electricity burden resolution by 2027. According to Sierra Leone News Agency, President Bio recently commissioned a 40MW solar farm in Newton, contributing to electricity access doubling from 17% to 36%. Trade reforms through the National Investment Board now facilitate and protect investment, with the manufacturing sector alone attracting over $800 million. The Vice President noted daily job creation, manufacturing sector expansion, and revenue generation. He praised President Bio's leadership in maintaining commodity price stability amid global challenges. During a question session, topics such as health, economy, and land reforms were co vered, with encouragement for the diaspora to invest in their homeland. The Ministry of Information and Civic Education organized the town hall as the first UK edition, with Minister Chernor Bah promising further global diaspora engagements.
