On 22 October 2021 a media statement was issued after SAPS at Embalenhle appealed for assistance in locating 41-year-old Nomvula Ester Mtsweni, from Embalenhle Ext. 4 who was reported missing. On Saturday evening, 23 October 2021 her body was found near Brendan Village, not far from where her vehicle was found. A murder case was opened and an investigation is underway.
Police at Embalenhle urged members of the public to assist with information on the whereabouts of the suspect(s) to contact Detective Sergeant Theodorah Mthimunye at 076 106 2984 or call the Crime Stop number at 08600 10111. Community members can also send information via My SAPS App. All received information will be treated as confidential and callers may opt to remain anonymous.
