The three suspects, two officers from the DPCI National Headquarters and a traditional healer appeared in court today on charges ranging from theft, dealing in ammunition, defeating the ends of justice, illegal possession of ammunition and possession of suspected stolen property.
The Hawks Lieutenant Colonel Refiloe Mnisi who was charged with theft and dealing in ammunition was granted bail of R3000, whilst Captain Thandi Mooka who was charged on defeating the ends of justice was granted bail of R2000. The case is postponed for further investigation and both will appear again in the Pretoria Central Magistrates` Court on the 27 June 2022.
The traditional healer, Nonhlanhla Elizabeth Chabalala who appeared in the Pretoria North Magistrates` Court was granted bail of R1000 and will appear again on the 12 July 2022.
This follows their arrest on Friday 27 May 2022 by the DPCI Pretoria Serious Organized Crime, National Priority Violent Crimes and Tactical Operations Management Section.
