DURBAN – On 10 January 2022 at 09:15, the body of Lucky Luthuli (50) was found lying on the road at Umnini. The victim had sustained multiple injuries on the body.
He was taken to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. During the investigation, it was established that the deceased was also robbed of his wallet and sneakers. Yesterday morning, Umkomaas detectives together with private security officers followed up information about the suspect involved.
The team arrested a 19-year-old suspect at Umnini. He will appear in the Umbumbulu Magistrates Court tomorrow on charges of murder and robbery.
