Bethlehem: The Police are looking for community assistance with regard to two incidences where two people died separately in Phuthaditjhaba and Ficksburg but no suspects arrested yet.
The Bethlehem police were summoned to a hospital on 03 December 2021 at about 11:56 after a 34-year-old man was admitted from Baipehing section of Meqheleng near Ficksburg with open wounds on the head, swollen eyes, bruises and both legs broken with unknown object. He succumbed to the wounds on 05 December 2021. A case of murder is being investigated.
On 04 December 2021 at about 23:50 the Phuthaditjhaba police were summoned to another hospital where the 30-year-old man was admitted with a fatal gunshot wound on the chest. It is alleged that he was brought by a friend who said that the deceased was shot near Phuthaditjhaba Community Hall. It is further alleged that the two were walking at the area when an unknown man carrying a firearm shot randomly at them. The deceased was hit by a bullet and fell on the ground. A case of murder is being investigated.
