Yesterday at 11:45, police officers from the Provincial Drug and Firearm Unit conducted an operation in the Tongaat area which resulted in the arrest of two men who were dealing in drugs at Hambanathi area.
They proceeded to the said house and upon their arrival police found a 30-year-old suspect in possession of 474 blue and white capsules of heroine. The drugs were seized and the suspect was arrested.
The team proceeded to another house in the area where they arrested a 39-year-old woman after she was found in possession of 7600 heroine capsules. The estimated drugs that were seized at both crime scenes are valued at approximately R190 000-00.
Both suspects are appearing today in the Verulam Magistrates Court today.
