Two accused convicted to 15 years imprisonment each for house robbery

GAUTENG – The Johannesburg Magistrate Court sentenced Patrick Ndlovua aged 42 to 15 years imprisonment and Bila Mola aged 26 to 15 years imprisonment on Tuesday, 14 December 2021.

Both accused robbed a house at Eikenhof on 22 December 2019 at 00:30. A 56-year-old male tuckshop owner was sleeping in his shack when he was woken up by the accused. They stabbed him twice in the upper body with an unknown object. They took two thousand rands cash (R2000-00) before they fled the scene. They left behind a red bolt cutter; a community member helped the police to apprehend the owner of the bolt cutter and his co-accused on the same day.

They were in custody until they were convicted.  The conviction is a result of diligent work done by the Investigating Officer Warrant Officer Mandlenkosi Zulu of Johannesburg Central Trio Detectives. We hope this sentence will scare away would-be offenders from committing the same crime.
