Pretoria – The Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) is commemorating the fifth anniversary of its Centre for Entrepreneurship Development with a special event featuring Small Business Development Minister Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams as the keynote speaker. This milestone celebration, set for Tuesday, aims to spotlight the Centre’s significant progress and achievements over the past half-decade.
According to South African Government News Agency, the TUT Centre for Entrepreneurship Development has been instrumental in fostering economic growth and inclusion. It provides critical support to start-ups through entrepreneurial training, coaching, and mentoring. The Centre is particularly focused on empowering women, youth, and people with disabilities, enhancing their access to entrepreneurial education and business development resources. This initiative aligns with the department’s strategic goals of integrating rural and township small, medium, and micro enterprises (SMMEs), as well as co-operatives, into the broader economy.
