Tsakane SAPS conducted safer school talk

Today members of Tsakane SAPS were addressing learners at Tsakane Primary School.

Learners were sensitized about issues that are affecting children. The objectives of the visit was to make awareness on how learners should behave, awareness on rape, drug abuse, bullying, child stealing, human trafficking and teenage pregnancy.

They were urged to respect their parents, educators, fellow school mates and take their education very serious.

Learners were warned not to be out in the streets at night especially when they are not in care of adults, were given a tips on how to shout for help when they are witnessing crime happening against them or their peers were also urged to report to their elders (parents or educators) who will help them to further report to the police about the sexual offences cases that they have ever experienced or whenever they are unfortunately become victims, in order for justice to be reached.

They were urged to report any form of abuse or crime that they might witness or become victims of, and to call for help immediately when they suspect that they are or might be in danger.
