PARKTOWN - On Monday, 27 June 2022, members of SAPS Lenasia arrested three suspects, aged between 25 and 46, in Thembelihle Informal settlement for possession of a stolen motor vehicle, unlicensed firearms and ammunition following a tip-off.

The SAPS members were reportedly out on a routine crime prevention patrol when they received a tip-off and proceeded to the identified address. A search led the members to recover two unlicensed firearms and ammunition. Further investigation revealed that the suspects' vehicle is positively linked to a theft of motor vehicle case which was reported at SAPS Moroka earlier this month.

The trio is expected to appear before the Lenasia Magistrates' court soon.
