POLOKWANE - The South African Police Service in Limpopo have arrested three suspects aged between 32 and 52 for dealing in drugs in Bela Bela and Westenburg respectively, on Wednesday 31 August 2022.
A 52-year-old suspect was arrested by members of Provincial Organised Crime and Bela-Bela Vispol for dealing in illicit drugs in the Bela-Bela policing area. He was reportedly found with Crystal Meth and Cat drugs with an estimated street value of R500 000, on Wednesday, 31 August 2022 at about 04:00 in the morning.
In a separate incident, another Team of Provincial Organised Crime together with Provincial Crime Intelligence nabbed two suspects aged 32 and 48 for dealing in drugs at Westenburg policing area, on the same day at about 05:00 in the morning. Mandrax with an estimated street value of R20 000 was confiscated.
The Provincial Commissioner of Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has welcomed the arrests and lauds the Police teams for consistently hitting hard on drug dealers in the Province.
The suspects will appear before Bela Bela Magistrate’s Court and Polokwane Magistrate’s Court respectively on Thursday, 01 September 2022 for dealing in illicit drugs.
The Police investigations are still ongoing.
