VHEMBE – The Deputy Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo responsible of Corporate Services, Major General Christine Morakaladi introduced the newly appointed Vhembe District Commissioner, Major General Eddie Van Der Walt and Thohoyandou Station Commander, Brigadier Leshoaneng Isaac Mantjane.

The event was held on Tuesday 04 December 2022 at Sibasa HRD situated in the Vhembe District at 10:00.

In attendance were the Station Commanders, Section Commanders and Various Unit Commanders within the SAPS Vhembe District.

Major General Morakaladi outlined the purpose of the event and further urged the two Senior Officers to take care of the members because they are the ones who promoted them because of their efforts, commitment and support.

Moreover, the members were encouraged to support the duo in order to succeed in the fight against crime.

In response, Major General Van Der Walt attributed his appointment to the support and commitment that was displayed by the colleagues. He also vowed to work hard and provide good leadership to the Stations and Units under his command ship.

Lastly, Brigadier Mantjane also showed gratitude for his appointment and appreciated a warmly welcome by the Vhembe District Police as they were very much glad and promised to support them in combating crime across the District.
