WINDHOEK: The battle for the Khomas Regional Second Division Football League is heating up, with five teams poised for a thrilling showdown in a tough struggle for the title and promotion to the Southern Stream First Division next season.
With only six games remaining in the 2023/2024 season, the race for the top spot has grown even more interesting, with the first team leading the pack by 14 points over the fifth-placed team.
The Namibia Football Association (NFA) Technical Centre and the Telecom Stadium in Windhoek will host rounds 25 and 26 of the league on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, with 15 games scheduled.
Namib Colts will face Kaizen Football Academy on Friday to kick off the weekend, according to the modified fixtures released by director Mabos Vries.
Swallows, the current league leaders, will face relegation-threatened Namib Eagles on Saturday, hoping to extend their lead and strengthen their title and promotion ambitions. Second-placed NUST will face Windhoek United, while Golden Rivers w

Spoilers will host Impala Chiefs, Sport Klub Windhoek will welcome Young Generation, and Patriots will face Windhoek Correctional Services in a suspenseful fourth-place match. City Boys are facing Athletic Club in a must-win game to improve their title chances.
Sunday’s games will feature Namib Eagles versus Namib Colts, Windhoek Correctional Facility versus Swallows, Impala Chiefs versus Patriots, and NUST against City Boys.
Falcons will play Young Generation in a game that they must win to avoid relegation, while Sports Klub Windhoek will host Spoilers, and Kaizen Football Academy will face Windhoek United.
Golden Rivers will face Athletic Club in the weekend’s final encounter.
Swallows now top the league with 50 points after 24 games, followed by City Boys with 47 points and Young Generation (3) with 46 points.
Nust (4) and Patriots (5) are deadlocked at 42 points. Windhoek Correctional Services is in sixth place with 38 points, followed by Kaizen (7) with
37 points, Namib Colts (8) with 35 points, Spoilers (9) with 33 points, Windhoek United (10) with 31 points, Athletic Club (11) with 29 points, and Golden Rivers (12) with 27.
Sports Klub Windhoek (13), Namib Eagles (13), Falcon (15), and the once-mighty Impala Chiefs (16) are locked in a heated relegation struggle.
