Temba police arrested four people in possession of drugs and dagga

Police in Temba arrested four people aged between 26 and 49 years around Ramotse village, Unit D and Suurman this morning.

Members of the Crime Prevention Unit received information about a suspect who was from Pretoria on his way to Pankop who was in possession of drugs (Nyaope) and they managed to intercept the vehicle, an Isuzu bakkie at Ramotse and found the drugs in the vehicle.

They followed up on other information about a man who is selling dagga in Unit D and on arrival at the said house they found dagga under the bed in the bedroom. After interrogating the man, he showed them a house at Suurman village where they are also selling dagga, and morel suspects were arrested for possession of drugs and dagga.

The station Commander of Temba SAPS, Brigadier Johannes Tau applauded members who showed dedication by working together with the community and followed all information which leads to the arrest and recovering of drugs. He said Temba police have dedicated members who are willing to remove drugs on the streets of Temba and it's a matter of time for the criminals to start running because their days are numbered.

The arrested suspects will appear in the Moretele Magistrates’ Court facing charges of possession of drugs and dagga.
