QONCE - Police have launched a manhunt for the murder suspects, after two men were fatally shot outside a tavern in Sweetwaters, eQonce.

On Monday, 22 August 2022 at about 17:30, police were summoned to a complaint of shooting outside a local tavern in Sweetwaters near Zwelitsha. At the scene, two unknown male bodies were found lying with several gunshot wounds. The investigation into establishing the motive for the shooting is currently underway.

Preliminary investigation led to the arrest of a person believed to be the owner of the said tarven after ten (10) sachets of tik and four (4) full boss mandrax were confiscated from his house. The 43-year-old male suspect is expected to appear in the King Williams Town Magistrate Court on charges relating to possession of drugs, once charged.
