KIMBERLEY – A tactical operation led by members of the Northern Cape Security Intelligence and Northern Cape Rapid Response Team arrested five drug peddlers in Danielskuil.
On Thursday, 27 October 2022 at approximately 05:00 the team operationalised intelligence and seized drugs and cash believed to be the proceeds of the sale of drugs and put five alleged drug peddlers behind bars.
The five male suspects were arrested, subsequent to raids conducted at their premises in Tlhakalatlou and Kuilsville locations in Danielskuil.
Two suspects were arrested in Bosman Street in Tlhakalatlou and found in possession of nine (9) small zip-lock bags containing crystal meth weighing 2.08 grams with an estimated street value of R520-00 and cash.
The team proceeded to another address in Leeudoring street in Kuilsville where a suspect was found in possession of thirteen(13) zip-lock bags of “skunk” dagga with an estimated street value of R490-00 including cash.
In Maryman Street in Kuilsville another two undocumented foreign nationals were arrested after they were found to be illegally in the country, as their asylum documents expired.
Loose dagga weighing 0.218 grams to the value of R450-00 was found on the suspects’ premises. The suspects will also be charged for contravening the Immigration Act.
The suspects will appear soon in the Danielskuil Magistrate’s Court on charges of dealing in drugs, dagga and for contravening the Immigration Act.
