JOHANNESBURG CENTRAL: Trio detectives apprehended five suspects between the ages of 21 to 51 for business robbery at Octavia Flats Fordsburg on 26 August 2022. One of the suspects is a female.

It is alleged that the suspects robbed a Hubble Bubbly shop at Fordsburg on 14 August 2022 at 15:00. Three males entered the shop pretending to be customers and the fourth one was a female. They pointed a cashier with firearms and instructed him to lay down. They took an undisclosed amount of money from a till before they fled the scene. The cashier managed to grab a firearm from one of the suspects and his ID copy fell down.

A tip-off from the community members led to the apprehension of the suspects. Investigation is underway and suspects are appearing in the Johannesburg Magistrates’ Court today, 29 August 2022.

Johannesburg Central Station Commander Brigadier Perumal commended good work done by the detectives in the apprehension of the suspects. He elaborated further that good working relationship between the police and the community is yielding positive results.
