EASTERN CAPE – Aliwal North K9 members were supported by Sterkspruit Crime Prevention and Port of Entry members during a combined crime prevention operation.

On the 04 January 2022 at about 13:15 the members were busy with crime prevention patrols at the taxi rank when a 33-year-old suspect was searched and arrested for possession of dagga.

Later that afternoon they followed up positive information and searched an identified house at Silindini. A 36-year-old suspect was arrested for dealing in drugs.

The suspects will appear today in the Sterkspruit magistrate court.

The acting District Commissioner Brig Rudolph Adolph commended the members on the successful combined crime prevention endeavours.
