DURBAN – Two men aged 26 and 27 are appearing before the KwaDukuza Magistrates Court this morning on charges of possession of carbreaking implements.
Their arrest follows an operation that was conducted yesterday by the Ilembe District Task Team, K9 Unit and security personnel. Police received information of a suspicious vehicle that was in Ballito. The team responded and searched the vehicle, which was spotted at a parking lot. Upon searching the vehicle, police found a signal-jamming device, various vehicle registration plates and car breaking implements.
The investigation conducted at the scene revealed that the same vehicle was used in the commission of crime in the Durban North policing area where a vehicle was stolen on 06 May 2022.
