KWAZULU-NATAL – On Wednesday 29 June 2022, Hawks members from Richards Bay Serious Organised Crime Investigation and Durban PSS arrested a 27-year-old suspect for possession of property suspected to be stolen in Vryheid.

Members received information about a suspect who was dealing in copper cables. An undercover operation was conducted at Mark Street in Vryheid and he was arrested. The suspect was found in possession of twenty meter copper cable which was positively identified by Vryheid Municipality Technician.

He is expected to appear in the Vryheid Magistrate’s Court today.
