POTCHEFSTROOM – On Thursday, 25 November 2021, Police in Vryburg arrested a 43-year-old man for house robbery and theft of motor vehicle.
The man was apprehended following an incident in which a house robbery was allegedly committed in the early hours of Thursday morning in Kismet Park, Vryburg. The owner of the house was asleep when he was woken up by two males armed with knives. The intruders instructed him to keep quiet and covered him with a blanket. As a result, the vehicle was found abandoned in Monotomosetlha informal settlement near Huhudi Location. Information on the stolen items was also followed up and a house in Huhudi was eventually searched after a search warrant was obtained. Items such as the plasma television, cell phone and a handbag were found and confiscated. Consequent to the recovery, the 43-year-old suspect was arrested. Investigations into the matter including tracing of the second suspect, are underway.
