FREE STATE – On Thursday 13 October 2022, the police at Boithuso Police Station were called to a store in F-Section Botshabelo, to attend to a business robbery at about 01:00. On arrival at the scene, the members were informed by the complainant that four armed males broke into the store and robbed the store owner of undisclosed cash, cellular telephones, liquor and cigarettes. The suspects fired shots and hastily left the scene.
Preliminary investigation by Boithuso Visible Policing and Public Order Police Unit, resulted in the arrest of a 35-year-old suspect.
The living area at the commonage was searched and the property, identified to be the one taken at F-Section during the armed robbery, was found and confiscated. The suspect will appear before Botshabelo Magistrate Court soon.
