Suspect arrested in possession of drugs and presumed stolen property near to Cape Town Magistrate Court

An intelligence driven operation in the city centre, proved to be successful when a man was arrested near to the Cape Town Magistrate court earlier today.

 

Cape Town Central police members were busy with stop and search operations in the area, when they spotted an unknown man carrying a black backpack close to the Magistrates court, appearing to be somewhat nervous when he noticed the patrol vehicle. Driven by adrenalin, the members approached the suspicious person and searched him. A consignment of drugs, tobacco and cell phones were confiscated. The 43-year-old man was arrested and detained.

 

Once charged the suspect is expected to make a court appearance in the Cape Town Magistrate court on charges of possession of drugs and presumed stolen property.
