NELSPRUIT - A 38-year-old suspect is expected to appear before Mhala Magistrate;s Court on Monday, 28 March 2022, for possession of a stolen vehicle.
According to our information, members of the White River Vehicle Crime Investigation Unit, received information about a suspicious white Nissan Hardbody which is suspected to have been stolen. The members responded swiftly and found the vehicle parked in front of a hardware store at Thulamahashe Complex.
The members approached the vehicle and identified themselves to the driver and asked permission to search the vehicle.
Upon conducting a search, their preliminary investigation revealed that the vehicle was stolen in Loate in Gauteng in 2021. The suspect was arrested on spot.
The Provincial Commissioner of SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela commended the members for their vigilance.
