BLOEMFONTEIN – On Tuesday, 21 September 2021, the police at Parkweg Police Station arrested one suspect who was found in possession of twenty-four rounds of ammunition. Members of Visible Policing Unit were busy conducting a stop and search in and around Bloemfontein Central Business District.
At the corner of Douglas and Power Streets the police spotted a suspicious looking male. They approached him, introduced themselves and asked for permission to search him. Inside a backpack they found ammunition wrapped with a newspaper page.
The 20-year-old suspect was then arrested for illegal possession of ammunition and for contravention of the Immigration Act.
