Successful combined operation in Mount Fletcher

MOUNT FLETCHER – Members continued efforts to eradicate the drug related crime yielded positive results during a combined operation in Mount Fletcher.

Members of Maluti K9 Unit, the Mount Fletcher Operational Command Centre (OCC) and FLASH team members conducted an intelligence driven operation around Mount Fletcher Policing area that led to the arrest of one female for possession and dealing in drugs.

At first, three targets were identified by a reliable source, two houses at Ethembeni location in Mount Fletcher was searched and the searches delivered negative results at both houses.

The members then proceeded to Katlekhong location in Mount Fletcher at about 00:30 during the early hours of the morning.

The identified house was searched in the presence of the suspect while SAPS K9 Unit handler utilized his narcotic dog.

The search was positive and led to the recoveries of drugs and cash.

91 mandrax “boss” tablets and

33 Zip lock bags and

Cash R1100 was confiscated.

The 49-year-old female suspect was arrested and will appear in the Mount Fletcher Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 28 March 2022.

The acting District Commissioner, Brig Rudolph Adolph commended the members for their collaborative efforts that lead to the success. Thank you to the community for the positive information that led to the large quantity of drugs not reaching the streets.
