KATKOP – Members continuous efforts to prevent and detect stolen stock yield successfull results in the KatKop area.

On 29 October 2022, a member of KatKop SAPS received positive information about vehicle transporting stock from Ngqaci locality.

He proceeded to the area and spotted the vehicle. The driver could not provide any documentation to load or convey the stock.

He then pointed out the person that sold the stock to him and on further investigation he also did not have proper documentation or proof of ownership.

Both the men were arrested and the four cattle confiscated.

The acting District Commissioner, Col Septimus Marnewick commended the member on the swift reaction that made it possible that the cattle could be recovered before it left the area.
