Springbok Public Order police pounced on 56-year-old drug dealer

Springbok Public Order police clamped down a 56-year-old man on the N7 with drugs worth more than R50 000 during operation Operation Vhuthu Hawe.

 

The suspect was found in possession of crystal meth weighing 144.80 grams and 367 units of mandrax tablets following a tip-off regarding a Quantum Taxi which was driving on the N7 possibly transporting drugs. Members of Public Order police in Springbok acted promptly and pulled over the Quantum Taxi on the N7.

 

During the search the suspect was found in possession of drugs. The taxi was from Cape Town in the direction of Springbok. The suspect is behind bars and is expected to appear in the Springbok Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 04 October 2021 on a charge of dealing in drugs.
