MOUNT FLETCHER - Members from the K9 Unit of Maluti supported the Mount Fletcher station in crime prevention activities and managed to have a successful arrest. The activities included the search of people, vehicles and identified premises.
On 12 July 2022 from 05:45 to 18:00 four members from the Maluti K9 Unit together with their patrol, explosive and narcotic dogs were on patrols around the Mount Fletcher CBD area when they received information of a male dealing in drugs in one of the hawkers table stand at Mt fletcher taxi rank.
The members followed up on the information and it was positive and led to the arrest of a 34-year-old suspect for the possession and dealing in drugs.
The acting District Commissioner Brig Asogran Naidoo thanked the members for their swift reaction and crime prevention activities in support of the stations.
